Since its founding in 1985 by the Felician Sisters of Livonia, Angela Hospice has been dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for people facing an incurable illness. The goal of Angela Hospice is to provide as much comfort as possible for patients, as well as their family members.

Angela Hospice offers services to terminally ill individuals of all ages; patients have ranged in age from newborn to 107 years old. All Angela Hospice patients receive direct care through our physicians, nurses, hospice aides, therapists, and social workers, as well as spiritual care and volunteer support as desired. In addition, Angela Hospice provides unequaled grief support services, offered free of charge to our patients’ loved ones, and to the community at large.

Serving where needed since 1874

Founded in Poland in 1855, the Felician Sisters are a congregation of women religious inspired by the spiritual ideals of their foundress, Blessed Mary Angela Truszkowska, and Saints Francis of Assisi, Clare of Assisi and Felix of Cantalice. Arriving in North America in 1874 following Blessed Mary Angela’s directive “to serve where needed,” they helped to weave the social service system. Today, the Felician Sisters founded, sponsor or support through the presence of our sisters, more than 40 ministries – all continuing to evolve to meet the needs of the people they serve.
