For 31 years, this Charity Golf Classic has been making dreams a reality for the children and adults at McGuire Memorial. McGuire’s Golf Classic is one you surely don’t want to miss beginning with breakfast including a bloody mary and mimosa bar, commemorative golf apparel, gifts for each golfer, lunch on the course at various food stations, souvenir photos, Bruster’s ice cream, on-course contests including chances to win a new car or a once-in-a-lifetime trip, cocktail hour with a full open bar and signature drink, dinner buffet and awards reception, face time with our Chairman Arthur Moats and other celebrities, and so much more!
About Our Celebrity Chairman, Arthur Moats
Former Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker and 9-year NFL Veteran, Arthur Moats, is a two-time nominee for the NFL’s Walter Payton Man of the Year Award, with both the Buffalo Bills and the Pittsburgh Steelers, for his volunteer and charity work in the community. In 2013, he was the Buffalo Bills’ recipient of the Ed Block Courage Award which is given to a NFL player from each team who exemplifies the commitments to the principles of sportsmanship and courage. He and his wife, Shonda, support JMU Athletics and recently established an endowed scholarship in the studio arts. Arthur and his family are committed to positively impacting the various communities they hold dear to their hearts.
