DESCRIPTION:“Everything is Connected: Ethics\, Factory Farming and Care for Our Common Home” \n\n\n\nJoin the Felician Sisters of North America for an engaging and transformative webinar on the urgent call to care for our common home\, inspired by Pope Francis’ Laudato Si’. \n\n\n\nThis conversation will examine our moral responsibility toward all of creation—including animals—and the ethical implications of modern factory farming. As we reflect on the interconnectedness of environmental\, social and economic systems\, we are invited to consider how our choices impact the earth\, the dignity of all living beings and the future of our global community. \n\n\n\nFeatured Speakers: \n\n\n\nDr. Andrew Domzalski\, Madonna University Dr. Andrew Domzalski is director of the B.A. in Animal Studies program and chair of the Department of Humanities at Madonna University. His work reflects a multidisciplinary approach\, with a focus on religious perspectives on animals\, particularly Christian understandings of animal souls and redemption. He teaches courses including Animals in Religion and Do Animals Matter? and has published and presented in his field. For more than twenty years\, he has engaged students in service-learning through collaboration with the Detroit Zoo. \n\n\n\nDr. James Robinson\, Iona UniversityDr. James Robinson is a clinical lecturer in the Religious Studies Department at Iona University and director of the Deignan Institute for Earth and Spirit. He is the author of Beyond Factory Farming: A Contemplative-Prophetic Approach to Food (Orbis\, 2026). At Iona\, he received the Catherine McCabe Award for Innovation and Excellence in Teaching. A GreenFaith Fellow\, he is actively involved in Catholic communities committed to ecology and justice and volunteers regularly with Maryhouse Catholic Worker in New York City. \n\n\n\nKim Korona\, VegMichiganKim (she/her) is a Program Manager at VegMichigan\, where she leads outreach efforts including presentations\, the 30-Day Plant-Based Pledge\, tastings\, Meetups and community tabling. She also supports education initiatives with the city of Ann Arbor\, works with organizations and food service businesses on plant-forward practices\, contributes to social media and administrative work and serves on the VegMichigan Antiracist Committee. \n\n\n\nShe previously held roles in humane education\, community engagement and academia\, including at H.E.A.R.T.\, Michigan Humane and the University of Denver\, and has long-standing experience in plant-based advocacy and animal protection organizations. \n\n\n\nKim holds an M.Ed. from Cambridge College (Institute for Humane Education)\, a Certificate in Humane Education and a B.A. from Goddard College. \n\n\n\nSister Jean Sliwinski\, CSSF\, moderator Sr. Jean Sliwinski\, CSSF\, is a member of the Felician Sisters of North America and serves as Provincial Environmental Sustainability Coordinator and Laudato Si’ Action Platform Coordinator\, advancing environmental stewardship across the congregation’s ministries. She also chairs the congregation’s Socially Responsible Investment Committee and serves on the board of the Interfaith Center on Corporate Responsibility. She holds associate degrees in Ophthalmic Dispensing from Erie Community College and in Food Service Management from Villa Maria College\, a bachelor’s degree in Management from Houghton College\, and a master’s degree in Environmental Management and Planning from American Public University. \n\n\n\n\nRegister Here

DESCRIPTION:The Blessed Mary Angela Institute for Contemplation\, Action and Transformation is pleased to present:Blessed Mary Angela on the Road to Canonization Webinar \n\n\n\nJoin Sister Maria Marta Zielińska\, CSSF\, postulator for the canonization cause of Blessed Mary Angela Truszkowska\, for a special presentation on the process of canonization in the Catholic Church and the current status of Mother Angela’s journey toward sainthood. \n\n\n\nSister Marta will explain the stages of canonization\, the virtues and miracles required and provide an update on Blessed Mary Angela’s cause. This presentation offers a unique opportunity to learn about the Church’s saint-making process and celebrate the life and legacy of the Felician Sisters’ foundress. \n\n\n\nAbout Sister MartaSister Maria Marta Zielińska has been a Felician Sister for 47 years. She earned her Master’s degree in Theology from the Academy of Catholic Theology in Warsaw and served for fourteen years as a religion teacher in various parishes. In 1995 she studied English in the United States\, followed by a year of preparation in Rome to serve as official postulator for the canonization cause of Blessed Mary Angela Truszkowska. \n\n\n\nWhile residing in Rome\, she also served as General Archivist for the Felician Congregation. Upon returning to Poland\, Sister Marta spent a year in the Prayer Community and later oversaw the Blessed Mary Angela Truszkowska Museum and Archives in Kraków. She currently serves as Provincial Minister of the Our Lady Queen of Poland Province in Warsaw\, Poland\, while continuing her role as postulator for Mother Angela’s cause. DESCRIPTION:Join us for a webinar jointly presented by CWR and Archivists for Congregations of Women Religious. \n\n\n\nRecording oral histories is a method of preserving the past while sharing experiences\, wisdom\, and stories with present and future generations. \n\n\n\nIn this session\, Sr. Mary Cabrini Procopio will share her experience of spending six years traveling the country and recording the oral histories\, affectionately referred to as “Sacred Stories\,” of 125 sisters. She will also discuss the technology\, methods\, and best practices involved.
