History: When an earthquake devastated Haiti in 2010, Felician Sisters responded with compassion, solidarity and commitment to human dignity for all. Since then, our mission has worked to empower the resilient Haitian people with initiatives to provide clean water, access to health care, education, and the job skills needed to strengthen their country.
As violence escalated and targeted human aid organizations in the fall of 2022, the U.S. Embassy urged the missionary sisters to leave the country. The mission work continues thanks to the efforts of the Haitian mission staff and direction from the sisters who stay in touch with the staff and fund the supplies, salaries and living expenses of the staff.
