Sister Mary Florence Pelczynski entered into eternal rest on Thursday, February 2, 2023 at Our Lady of the Angels Convent, Enfield, CT. Sister was 98 years old and a member of the Felician Sisters for 80 years. Born in Adams, MA a daughter of the late Adam and Bernice Pelczynski. She was also predeceased by brothers; Rev. Walter Pelczynski, M.I.C. (Marian Fathers), Stanley, Frank, Charles and Casimer, her sisters; Victoria Hoellerich and Wanda Stone.
Sister Florence is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Sister ministered at parishes staffed by the Felician Sisters in New England as a teacher, catechist, ESL teacher and pastoral minister. In the dioceses of Springfield in Easthampton, Adams, and Pittsfield. In the Archdiocese of Hartford, she taught in Enfield, Windsor and Hartford. She served the community at the Felician Sisters Generalate in Rome, Italy and the American School in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and
São Paulo, Brazil. Her last assignment was at Our Lady of the Angels Central Convent, Enfield. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at OLA Chapel. Interment took place in St. Adalbert Cemetery, Enfield, CT.
