The Founders Fund

Created in 2024 to honor the Felician Sisters’ 150th Anniversary and provide ongoing support for critical needs, the Founders Fund will ensure the Felician Sisters have funding to use when and where it is needed most.

Currently, gifts to the Founders Fund are benefitting the sisters’ early childhood education ministries.

St. Anne’s Family Services ministers to the most vulnerable populations of Los Angeles, especially supporting young women and children. St. Joseph Academy (Milwaukee) offers childcare through 8th grade with personalized attention in the Felician tradition. Mooncrest Neighboorhood Programs is a lifeline for underserved children in the Moon Twp. area near Pittsburgh.

One parent says, “My girls talk about the summer camp at home. They loved the soccer games and they learn more English and reading. They love to read because they get great help at the camp.”

Serving where needed since 1874

Founded in Poland in 1855, the Felician Sisters are a congregation of women religious inspired by the spiritual ideals of their foundress, Blessed Mary Angela Truszkowska, and Saints Francis of Assisi, Clare of Assisi and Felix of Cantalice. Arriving in North America in 1874 following Blessed Mary Angela’s directive “to serve where needed,” they helped to weave the social service system. Today, the Felician Sisters founded, sponsor or support through the presence of our sisters, more than 40 ministries – all continuing to evolve to meet the needs of the people they serve.
