The Lakeshore Memory Clinic recently received a Collaboration Award from the Chamber of Manitowoc County. The clinic is an affiliate of the Wisconsin Alzheimer’s Institute Dementia Diagnostic Clinic Network and a collaborative effort of Felician Village in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, and Holy Family Memorial, a local healthcare network.
Located on the Felician Village campus, the Lakeshore Memory Clinic utilizes employees from both organizations and provides evaluation, diagnosis, education and management to help ease the challenges of day-to-day care and keeping someone with memory loss safe.
The Collaboration Award recognizes a Manitowoc County project, activity or event for its progress, success, innovation and contribution to the community. Felician Village director of marketing Barb Fricke said, “It was wonderful to be recognized in the general community for our commitment to exceed industry standards by delivering quality, compassionate care to those we serve with dementia. And a big THANK YOU to the Felician Sisters and Felician Services for their confidence in providing grant funding to get this effort started.”
Felician Village was also nominated for the Chamber Non-Profit of the Year award and the Health, Safety & Wellness Award.
