Hope in Haiti Virtual Event

Sisters from Felician Mission: Haiti share an update from Haiti and thank those who have contributed to the success of the mission.

Sisters Marilyn Minter, Inga Borko, Izajasza Rojek, and Julitta Kurek share news of Felician Mission: Haiti and all that has happened since 2020. Amid managing COVID, a scabies outbreak, and tropical storm damage, the Sisters have forged on with projects to help Haitians rebuild their economy. Hear from Tcheri from Haiti about his dream to be a doctor. Sister Izajasza joins from Poland to talk about their new sewing school and the wonderful Dr. Jean Paul Bonnet tells of water wells being drilled to build — a bakery! Wishing thanks to everyone that has helped make Felician Mission: Haiti successful for the people of Haiti.

Founded in Poland in 1855, the Felician Sisters are a congregation of women religious inspired by the spiritual ideals of their foundress, Blessed Mary Angela Truszkowska, and Saints Francis of Assisi, Clare of Assisi and Felix of Cantalice. Arriving in North America in 1874 following Blessed Mary Angela’s directive “to serve where needed,” they helped to weave the social service system. Today, the Felician Sisters founded, sponsor or support through the presence of our sisters, more than 40 ministries – all continuing to evolve to meet the needs of the people they serve.
