A Blessed Connection

I met Sister M. Lorene Pivinski a few years ago. I was introduced to her through a Centering Prayer group that she coordinated. I knew right away that I wanted to know her better. She is friendly, cheerful and down to earth. Most importantly she introduced me to Blessed Mary Angela. Sister Lorene gave me a relic, a prayer card, a statue and a bracelet. I started my devotion to Blessed Mary Angela. Because of Sister Lorene’s influence I felt a true connection to Mother Angela. I realized that small prayer requests were happening. I gave a bracelet and prayer card to my friend Agnes who suffers from back pain. Agnes prays everyday, her pain subsided enough for her to return to Mass. Now Agnes prays daily for Blessed Mary Angela to become a Saint. Agnes misplaced her bracelet twice but it reappears when least expected. Thank you Sister Lorene for blessing me with your influence and love.

Serving where needed since 1874

Founded in Poland in 1855, the Felician Sisters are a congregation of women religious inspired by the spiritual ideals of their foundress, Blessed Mary Angela Truszkowska, and Saints Francis of Assisi, Clare of Assisi and Felix of Cantalice. Arriving in North America in 1874 following Blessed Mary Angela’s directive “to serve where needed,” they helped to weave the social service system. Today, the Felician Sisters founded, sponsor or support through the presence of our sisters, more than 40 ministries – all continuing to evolve to meet the needs of the people they serve.
