On February 22, Sister Mary Francesca Buczkowski and Sister Mary Renée Kurczaba joined hundreds of supporters in Toronto for the Coldest Night of the Year (CNOY) Walk, an annual event raising awareness and funds for those experiencing homelessness. Held in over 200 locations across Canada, CNOY invites participants to brave the cold in solidarity with those facing housing insecurity, hunger and mental health challenges.
This year, over $85,000 was raised for St. Felix Centre, a Felician-sponsored ministry that provides essential services to individuals in need. These funds will support existing programs and contribute to the Centre’s upcoming project—a new building offering permanent, affordable and supportive housing for women and children experiencing homelessness.

By walking together on this cold winter night, participants experienced a small glimpse of the hardships faced by those living on the streets. The event not only raised critical funds but also built community spirit, reminding all involved that every effort makes a difference.
