As followers of the nonviolent Jesus, we are deeply saddened by the death of Renee Good and grieve every loss of human life. We affirm the sacred dignity of every person, made in God’s image and likeness, and we pray for healing, justice, and peace for Renee’s loved ones and for all communities affected by violence.
We stand in prayer with those mourning and call all people of faith to work toward nonviolent responses and systems that protect life and dignity.
Rooted in Felician Core Values.
This moment calls us to live our Felician Core Values more intentionally:
- Justice and Peace – Commitment to creating right relationships, addressing the causes of injustice, and fostering nonviolence and reconciliation.
- Respect for Human Dignity – Reverence for the inherent worth of every person, created in the image and likeness of God.
- Compassion – A response of mercy and care to the needs and suffering of others, rooted in Gospel love.
- Transformation – Openness to personal, communal, and societal conversion that leads to new life and hope.
- Solidarity with People in Need – Standing with those who are poor, marginalized, or vulnerable and responding through service and advocacy.
Guided by these values, we seek to be a presence of hope and faithful witness in a world longing for peace.
