The Felician Associates of Manitowac, WI welcomed three new members on May 4, 2019.

The Felician Associates of the Manitowac, Wisconsin, area welcomed three new members on Saturday, May 4, 2019. Geraldine Hartlaub, Therese Strauss, and Karen Valenta each made their first covenant during the 9:30 am Mass at Felician Village; current Associates also renewed their annual covenant.

Felician Associates are lay men and women from all walks of life who make a formal commitment to partner with the Sisters in prayer, worship, service, and companionship. To learn more about Felician Associates in your area, click here.

Founded in Poland in 1855, the Felician Sisters are a congregation of women religious inspired by the spiritual ideals of their foundress, Blessed Mary Angela Truszkowska, and Saints Francis of Assisi, Clare of Assisi and Felix of Cantalice. Arriving in North America in 1874 following Blessed Mary Angela’s directive “to serve where needed,” they helped to weave the social service system. Today, the Felician Sisters founded, sponsor or support through the presence of our sisters, more than 40 ministries – all continuing to evolve to meet the needs of the people they serve.
