On Tuesday, August 26, the halls of Wellspring in the Chicago Convent rang with applause, laughter, game show music and playful sound effects as Felician Services, Inc. (FSI) hosted a lively Game Show event for the Sisters in honor of the ongoing 150th anniversary celebration.
Two crowd favorites—Wheel of Fortune and Let’s Make a Deal—set the stage for an afternoon full of fun. Members of the FSI team stepped into character as Pat Sajaks, Vanna Whites and Monty Halls, keeping the energy high and the games unforgettable. Costumes were encouraged, leading to creative appearances from “Everything but the Kitchen Sink,” Chicago Cubs phenom Pete Crow Armstrong/Prayer Compassion Angela, “Da White Sox Pope” and many more. The Sisters showcased their clever costume-making skills while also enjoying the excitement of playing games and winning prizes.
The festivities concluded with an ice cream social featuring both an ice cream stand and a nostalgic ice cream truck. To ensure everyone could share in the sweetness, FSI team members also delivered treats to Sisters in the care center.
It’s safe to say the event was a hit—so much so that if the Sisters had one more spin on the Wheel of Fortune, the puzzle board might just reveal this message: Please host game shows again!
