We are thrilled to share that “The Calling,” a PBS documentary film produced by Visionalist Entertainment Productions, has received four 2026 Michigan Emmy® Award nominations!
“The Calling” ventures beyond the convent door to offer viewers a deeper understanding of the lives of religious sisters — remarkable women who selflessly dedicate their lives to God and the betterment of humanity, often facing misunderstandings along the way. We are proud that the Felician Sisters of North America are among the Michigan-based women religious communities featured in this meaningful film, alongside:
- Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (IHM)
- Chaldean Sisters, Daughters of Mary Immaculate
- Sisters of Mercy
- Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist
The film has been nominated in the following categories:
- Documentary – Historical
- Editor – Long Form Content
