Felician University Ranked a Best College for Women

Felician University has been named #1 in New Jersey on Newsweek’s America’s Best Colleges for Women list!

Newsweek teamed up with Gender Fair to release their first America’s Best Colleges for Women list, ranking higher education institutions based on their leadership, pay and policies, safety, and opportunity. Out of nearly 751 colleges nationwide, Felician ranked #30 overall and #1 in the state of New Jersey, one of only two institutions in the state to place in the Top 50!

This recognition reflects Felician University’s commitment to creating an inclusive and empowering academic environment—one where students are supported to lead with confidence, resilience, and purpose, both throughout their college experience and beyond.

Serving where needed since 1874

Founded in Poland in 1855, the Felician Sisters are a congregation of women religious inspired by the spiritual ideals of their foundress, Blessed Mary Angela Truszkowska, and Saints Francis of Assisi, Clare of Assisi and Felix of Cantalice. Arriving in North America in 1874 following Blessed Mary Angela’s directive “to serve where needed,” they helped to weave the social service system. Today, the Felician Sisters founded, sponsor or support through the presence of our sisters, more than 40 ministries – all continuing to evolve to meet the needs of the people they serve.
