Sr. Judith Kubicki, provincial minister, was honored as one of three recipients of the Catholic Seminary Alumni Association Award at the 34th Annual Dinner and Awards Celebration in Blasdell, NY, on August 20. Rev. Walter Szczesny introduced Sr. Judith, highlighting her accomplishments in theology, English and music, including three books she has authored and lectures she has given across the U.S., Canada, Australia and Europe—though he especially noted the personal influence she brings to those she encounters.
In her remarks, Sr. Judith reflected on her years as director of music and academic dean at Christ the King Seminary, describing them as a time of personal formation and growth that helped her become a “better musician, teacher and administrator.” Drawing on that experience, she compared her role as provincial minister to that of a conductor — guiding sisters, associates and ministry partners toward a shared harmony and purpose so that together they may serve where they are most needed.
